After the release of the original Vinx LP, "Through Colored Folks Eyes" released 2004 on Elephunk Records (A Basement Boys Label), Teddy Douglas has re-imagined and remixed a 3 song EP to kick off Black History Month. The subject matter of the amazing Black Boy song is relevant today as it was in the 70s. The jazzy piano genius of Lafayette Gilcrest is a perfect combination to the song styling of Vinx story telling. "Through Colored Folks Eyes" soars at the end with the harmonica solo and the New Jersey Mass Choir. The EP closes with an up tempo Latin jam that has a hopeful message that "Tomorrow" is another day. Look out for "Black Boy" remixes spring 2023!!
